CMDS can provide bespoke or standard mediation and conflict resolution training programmes to individuals or organisations. To discuss your training needs, please get in touch. Often, we are called in to provide training to:
Managers and teams in the workplace
This type of conflict can lead to reduced productivity which can lead to disaster in this times where only the fittest will survive the changes within our economic environment. Groups of Managers can attend bespoke training on or off-site to allow them to share the feelings of frustration and/or dis-empowerment that are impeding their performance. Confidentiality is maintained at all times
Families and relatives
The impact of inter-generational conflict can be seen and felt within the home as well as workplace and school. It has become a causative factor in homelessness, drug/alcohol abuse as well as poor academic achievement. The family members work separately with our family conflict resolution specialists to unravel the earliest triggers of tensions. Win-win solutions can be considered so that each member's needs are met.
Married and unmarried partners
Training focuses on understanding the adverse consequences of the mismanagement of conflict in a relationship. Once this is understood, the small groups practice communication skills separately and in pairs so that they become more comfortable with detecting the first signs of discontent within themselves as well as others. A mismatch of expectations in verbal exchanges as well as actions can cause deep hurt which may trigger unconstructive reactions. These situations can be worked through in a safe environment and alternative ways of communication of your respective needs can be explored together. Many couples have found that this approach has transformed their own lives as well as their relationships.
Community groups and charities
We have mediators who have extensive experience in providing mediation and conflict resolution skills training to organisations of all sizes. Some of our mediators are very well experienced in community mediation and continue to offer their services in this area of work.
